Ford’s Adaptive Cruise Control is standard across the F-150 range, along with blind-spot monitoring with cross-traffic alert and rear parking sensors. The F-150 can also be fitted with lane-keep assist, hill-start assist, trailer sway control, and automatic emergency braking. On my test truck, the safety systems didn’t feel intrusive or overly sensitive.

With the four-by-two XLT, you get six different drive modes that can be selected depending on the conditions and terrain you’re facing.
